Cary has been making art since he was in diapers. In high school his print, “The Path” was featured in the United States Capitol along with a limited number of peers. In 2011, he graduated cum laude from the prestigious Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD. At university, Cary studied the fine arts in addition welding, costume making, and art history. With a major in Interdisciplinary Sculpture and a minor in Linguistics, he created series of works in wood, PVC, metal, and mixed media paintings. However, his favorite medium is drawing. Gray is currently illustrating a children’s book entirely with his feet, as he continues a longer term project of illustrating a collection of his poetry.
